St Machar is a beautiful self catering cottage set in a well-kept, landscaped garden. Stunning views of the hills and trees surrounding the area are a feature here, so bring your binoculars - you could spot regal birds of prey circling Fort Augustus, or majestic stags wandering the hills.
It has three good sized bedrooms. There is a king-size bed in the master room, which also features a large en suite shower room. There is also a double-size bed in the second bedroom, with the third bedroom housing twin beds. The contemporary kitchen/diner provides all the modern conveniences for easy living, including dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and electric oven and hob. Using a separate entrance to the back of the property, there is a functional utility room, which houses the washing machine and tumble drier.
The cottage is set in its own private garden, with a large gravel driveway providing plenty of off road parking space.
The cottage is at the top of a quiet cul-de-sac, very conveniently placed in Fort Augustus - just a few minutes' walk and you are at the southern tip of Loch Ness! It is close to the village amenities - bars, restaurants, shops and convenience stores - and is a great base for visiting all that the dramatic Scottish Highlands have to offer.
